NSB GROUP partners with Olive Ridley Project

As a company that is closely connected to the sea, we see it as our responsibility to increase our contribution to the protection of marine life.

Today – on the World Sea Turtle Day – we are delighted to announce that NSB GROUP has recently entered a partnership with the Olive Ridley Project (ORP) – an international non-governmental organization that works to protect sea turtles and their habitats through rescue and conservation medicine, scientific research, education, and outreach.

As keystone species, sea turtles help maintain the balance of marine ecosystems. They support healthy coral reefs, regulate seagrass meadows, and contribute to the stability of fish populations. Despite their ecological importance, sea turtles are in serious trouble. Six out of the seven existing species are currently threatened with extinction.

This partnership was initiated after the personal experience of our CEO Tim Ponath – an encounter that left a lasting impression and strengthened his resolve to actively support another organization involved in marine conservation, the Olive Ridley Project.

“I experienced so much professionalism paired with passion when I saw the work of the Olive Ridley Project team. I was sure from the very first moment that we as a company should support them in their work. What finally convinced me was their broad approach to conservation, backed by strong research and a willingness to go beyond tourist hotspots.“

Tim Ponath
Chief Executive Officer, NSB GROUP

“We are thrilled to partner with NSB Group. Our unwavering commitment to sea turtle conservation, combined with NSB’s global network and dedication to sustainable practices, creates a powerful foundation for a meaningful and enduring collaboration.”

Founder & Chief Executive Officer, Olive Ridley Project

The collaboration represents an ongoing commitment to ocean health and biodiversity – a cause that is closely aligned with our values and long-term vision.
This support is an addition to our ocean-related activities for Eyesea, Coral Gardeners, and Bracenet.
