Christoph Heyn
In 2019 Christoph Heyn joined NSB as Project Engineer Newbuilding after working for a classification society and an offshore engineering company. In December 2023 the graduated Naval Architect was promoted to Deputy Director Newbuilding. Besides Dirk Hundt, he drives NSBs new propulsion and vessel concepts.
Christoph enjoys cycling and sailing, he is married and has three daughters.

Markus Thewes
Markus Thewes joined NSB Niederelbe Schiffahrtsgesellschaft mbH & Co. KG in 2007. He was one of the key persons to implement and built up the idea of the NSB GROUP philosophy. Beginning of 2015 he relinquished the position of Head of Quality Management. The graduate Engineer was promoted to Vice President / Global Sales with the aim to think ahead and implement new perspectives and ideas to make use of the synergy efforts of the corporate group. Since January 2019 he is Chief Commercial Officer (CCO) of NSB GROUP.
Markus is keen on early morning sport activities, he is married and has a son and a daughter.

Iris Rausch
Iris Rausch is working at NSB since 2015, started as assistant to Markus Thewes, CCO, and building up the Global Sales department together with him. Since 2019, she has been Team Leader of the constantly growing Global Sales department, always looking to find new business opportunities, closing contracts, and staying in touch with clients.
Iris is married, enjoys sports and is involved in animal welfare.

Dirk Andrejan Hundt
Fascinated by ships and shipbuilding, Dirk Andrejan Hundt, a studied mechanical engineer, joined NSB in 2006, after having worked for German shipyards since 1991.
Right from the beginning at NSB, Dirk was involved in efficiency matters and was one of the main drivers in the development of the ship performance management system. In 2017, Dirk became Director Newbuilding of NSB. Being in involved in newbuilding matters and taking over the lead of the department was something like “back to the roots” for him. Since then, numerous vessels, tankers and containers, have been constructed or are under construction by the NSB newbuilding department with various teams at different shipyards in China.

Anja Conath
Anja Conath has been working in the newbuilding department of NSB since August 2023. Her tasks are plan approvals and the support the site team. As a technical draftswoman specialized in shipbuilding, with many years of experience in design and work preparation at a shipyard in Hamburg, she also supports our engineers in the development of new projects.

Britta Tappe
With the experience gained in the Technical Inspection of NSB since 2007, Britta Tappe supports the Newbuilding Department since 2019. She is responsible for plan approval, the selection and installation of the ships and the support of the site teams with all their concerns. Britta appreciates the close contact with the colleagues abroad, even though of being thousands of kilometers apart.
Britta lives in Buxtehude, is married, and has a son. She enjoys playing volleyball and teaching sports courses.
