NSB GROUP brings home 1st place

On Sunday, 29 June 2025, two NSB GROUP relay teams competed in the 1st Stackmann Triathlon Altes Land in Hollern-Twielenfleth – and made quite the splash.

With a course that included a 500 m swim in the open-air pool, a 20 km bike ride through apple orchards and a final 5 km run along the Elbe River dike, the event offered not only physical challenges but also stunning scenery. And most importantly: a chance to grow closer together as a team.
Our first relay – made up of our youngsters Finn Muehlena (swim), Fabian Voß (bike) and Hauke Steffen (run) – delivered an outstanding performance and raced to 1st place in the relay category.
Their individual efforts were just as impressive:
Finn swam the 500 meters in 08:33 minutes.
Fabian covered the bike course in 31:56 minutes.
Hauke completed the run in 20:51 minutes.
Their overall relay time, including the transitions was 1:03:09, 19 seconds faster than the runner-up.

These results speak for themselves – but even more impressive was the mutual support, the shared motivation and the sense of fun that carried the team through every stage of the race. As Hauke put it:

“There were people on the sidelines shouting my name – and I had no idea who they were. That kind of energy was just incredible. It really pushed me forward and gave me goosebumps.”

Our second relay team – Claudia Voss, Malte-Nils Hunold and Markus Thewes – also gave it their all. Whether in the water, on the bike or along the run course, they showed dedication and true team spirit and came 27th out of 39 relay teams.
Events like these are more than competitions. They’re opportunities to build trust, connect outside the daily work environment and celebrate what unites us: commitment, drive and collaboration. From the first dive into the pool to the last step across the finish line, it was a day to remember – and one we’re already looking forward to repeating next year.
