Tim Ponath
Chief Executive Officer (CEO)
In 2005, Tim Ponath joined REEDEREI NSB. He ran through different steps by taking over responsibility: Newbuilding Management, Fleet Management and Technical Management & Services. In 2014 he was appointed to the management as COO and in 2019 he took over as CEO.
He was and is the main driver of developing and executing our company’s vision. This comprises a comprehensive reorganization process from REEDEREI NSB, a German ship management company mainly operating German KG vessels, to an international fleet management & maritime service provider under the brand NSB GROUP with headquarter in Germany and subsidiaries in China, Philippines, Singapore, Korea, and Sri Lanka. Tim Ponath has studied business engineering and mechanical engineering and is a skilled industrial mechanic. He is a big supporter of electromobility. Tim is married and has two daughters.

Markus Thewes
Chief Commercial Officer (CCO)
Markus Thewes joined NSB Niederelbe Schiffahrtsgesellschaft mbH & Co. KG in 2007. Besides Tim Ponath, he was one of the key persons to implement and built up the idea of the NSB GROUP philosophy. Beginning of 2015 he relinquished the position of Head of Quality Management. The graduate Engineer was promoted to Vice President / Global Sales with the aim to think ahead and implement new perspectives and ideas so as to make use of the synergy efforts of the corporate group. Since January 2019 he is Chief Commercial Officer (CCO) of NSB GROUP.
Markus is keen on early morning sport activities, he is married and has a son and a daughter.
